Grief Counselling Intensive

Grief Counselling Weekend Intensive

Because grief deserves more than silence…

Why This Intensive?

Grief is not just about death.
It shows up in lost friendships, broken homes, estranged parents, migration, illness, unrealised dreams.
Yet, most of us are taught to stay quiet. To “move on.” To hide our pain.

This intensive is a space for therapists, counsellors, social workers, and mental health students to deepen their grief literacy and learn how to hold space for stories that are raw, unfinished, and often unspoken.

What You’ll Learn

Over 3 immersive days (9 hours total), we’ll explore:

  • The many faces of grief: disenfranchised, ambiguous, anticipatory

  • Working with complex and prolonged grief in therapy

  • Cultural nuances of grief in India — rituals, silence, and stigma

  • Therapist’s own grief as both a challenge and a tool

  • Holding space for loss that has no closure

  • Practical frameworks, case discussions, and reflective exercises

  • This is not a lecture. It’s an experiential weekend with room for stories, questions, and shared humanity.

Why It Matters

Because grief isn’t something to be fixed.
It’s something to be witnessed.

By building grief literacy, we create safer spaces for people to share the stories they’ve been holding alone.
And in doing so, we begin to shift how our communities, families, and cultures hold loss itself.
